Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy

A Safe Space to Share

I strive to create a calm, non-judgmental environment where both of you can feel heard. You won't be sitting there while someone takes sides or assigns blame. Instead, the therapist acts more like a guide, helping you both understand what's really happening beneath your conflicts.

Going Deeper Than the Arguments

We often argue about dishes, schedules, or money—but EFT helps you discover the deeper emotions driving those fights. I will gently help you explore questions like: "What am I really feeling when this happens?" or "What do I need most from my partner?"

You might realize that anger is covering up hurt, or that withdrawal is actually about feeling vulnerable.

Slowing Things Down

Sometimes I will slow conversations down, asking you to pause and notice what you're feeling in the moment. This isn't about analyzing—it's about connecting with your emotions and helping your partner truly see and understand you.

Learning New Ways to Connect

Over time, you'll practice expressing your deeper needs and fears in ways your partner can hear. I will help you learn to respond to each other with more openness and compassion, building new patterns of connection that feel safer and more loving.

The Goal

EFT isn't about fixing blame or learning communication "tricks." It's about rediscovering the emotional bond that brought you together and creating a secure, loving connection where you both feel valued and understood.

You don't have to have all the answers coming in—just a willingness to be open.

How it Works

You want better communication and a stronger bond. I’m here to help you simplify the process as you begin your journey.

1

Step One

Complete the inquiry form on the home page.

2

Step Two

I will respond to your inquiry and from there, if we seem to be a good fit to move forward, we will schedule a complimentary 15 minute video call where I learn a bit about why you are seeking therapy, share a little about how I work, and answer any questions you may have.

3

Step Three

At the close of the consultation call, we can go ahead and schedule the intake session if you are ready. After you are scheduled, you will receive a link to the paperwork on the portal as well as directions to my office.
